Once you’ve been to Dusty Buns you are subsequently disappointed by every other bakery you visit. After taking a detour to pop in to Dusty buns on our way down south from Perth to Augusta we indulged in some of the best baked goods that we’ve ever had! We decided to visit some of those other well known bakeries in the Margaret River area only to find their offerings pretty average, flavourless, dry and underwhelming. We will be definitely be making another detour on our way home!

Coming to Busselton we knew dusty buns would have to be our first stop. And it was an epic stop!! We came very late in the day so we didn’t have many options unfortunately but we had a passionfruit cronut This was THE BEST thing I think I have EVER eaten!! So much so we went back the following day and bought a whole box of different goodies( including another 2 of those cronuts 😌‼️ Owner and the staff were beautiful and kind. This place deserves all the hype in the world. Thanks so much!! Will be back for sure!!

We went to Dusty Buns. We were so impressed. You have to check this place out. The owners, Mel and Joel are lovely people and passionate about what they do. The attention to detail, pride and care in their products is everything you’d expect from a gourmet country bakery. We had the green peppercorn steak pie, the butter chicken pie and beef sausage roll. All were outstanding. The pepper steak pie. I think this is my new fav. It’s different to the usual but damn it was tasty. I loved the green peppercorn sauce with a more creamy nature. The heat build slowly and it’s more fragrant. Plentiful chunks of tender beef encased in perfect pastry. Loved the buttery short crust bottom and flaky top. Held together perfectly from first bite to last. 10/10. The butter chicken pie was awesome. Mel explained the traditional recipe and preparation. It was bloody delicious. Great spice, good heat, and tender chicken. Spot on. Again, 10/10. The sausage roll was awesome. One of the best I’ve had. Flaky beautiful pastry. Flavourful filling. A great balance of richness without being oily what so ever. Brilliant. I was dead quiet from first to last bite engrossed in happiness. 10/10. Dusty Buns will be a firm stop over when passing through Busselton. I just wish we could have gone again as there were so many things I wanted to try.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing experience at Dusty Buns in Busselton. I had the bacon and egg quiche and it was one of the best I’ve had — full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and really fresh. The pastry was delicious and the filling was spot on. Great service, very friendly staff and a great welcoming atmosphere as well. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

Such an awesome bakery! This has quickly become our first stop whenever visiting the Busselton area. Each time we think we know what we want to eat….until we are standing in front of SO many delicious options 🤤 (both sweet and savoury) it becomes clear we need ‘excuses’ to buy more 😉 The sweets are outstanding - always my ‘go to’ and the range of savoury items is abundant and very tasty as well - always hubbies ‘go to’. Their tasting trays are a great idea if you are not sure what to buy as you can sample a range of sweets (small versions) The owners are very friendly and always happy to assist customers however they can. Do yourself a favour and go there…..the only problem will be limiting yourself with what you buy 😊! See you next visit!

I visit Origins just for Dusty Buns! The team is always amazing, friendly, and genuinely happy, which makes every visit feel so welcoming. Their desserts are some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The doughnuts are a standout, perfectly soft, full of flavour, and packed with so much jam you practically need a bib. The vanilla slices are incredible too, with that perfect balance of custard and flaky pastry layers. If you’re looking for delicious baked treats, fresh bread, savoury goodies, great service, and smiles all round, Dusty Buns is an absolute must‑visit in the South West.

The BEST filled donuts I've had anywhere in Australia & Singapore. My only pet peeve is the fillings are already perfection in flavour + mind-blowingly generous, so the sugar on outside of donut becomes overly sweet - would prefer powdered sugar, or I could just have dusted my donut off! Beautiful to look at (donut pack was devoured before the photo was remembered), perfectly easy to cut into quarters to share (so you get to try ALL 4 flavours!); Oozingly oh-so-generous quality fillings encased in a pillowy dough... 🤤 Lemon meringue inched out the vanilla curd, chocolate mousse & raspberry jam as my favourite only because the lemon balanced out the sweetness of the sugared donut. Vanilla slice looked genuine custard/creme pat, not the instant stuff - I have to return for it! All 3.5 hrs drive of it from Perth 😂 Oh, great friendly service too + the sourdough looked amazing! Go halves on a double doner kebab from TTs in the same building + a filled donut for dessert after!

I loved our visit year, it was the first stop we made when we pulled into Busselton. Only regret is that we didn’t get there sooner as most things had sold out, with good reason. Definitely keen for a revisit on our next Busselton trip.

Partner and I bought a big box of sweets and savoury treats and everything was yummy. Pain au chocolat was a standout. I've never had one with a thin crispy top and a filling that generous! We also got the share box and everything was loved. Cheese and bacon steak pie was gooey goodness with good amount of beef inside. This was our first time at Dusty Buns and we were very impressed with the food and service. We will be visiting again.
